3 Civic Plaza unveiled as “The Tallest Tower South of the Fraser”

Century Group unveiled plans for 3 Civic Plaza, which they are calling the tallest tower south of the Fraser River and home to the first mixed-use hotel and residential project in Surrey City Centre. Standing at 517 feet (50 storeys), the tower will be the fifth tallest in the Lower Mainland.

3 Civic Plaza is a partnership between Century Group and Surrey City Development Corporation (SCDC) and will feature a premium boutique hotel – and Surrey’s first new high rise hotel in two decades — called the Civic Hotel, which will include 160 guest rooms, and approximately 330 residential units located above the hotel.

The project joins other developments that are reinforcing investment in Surrey City Centre such as Simon Fraser University’s Surrey campus, the soon-to-open RCMP E-Division and the Jim Pattison Outpatient Care and Surgery Centre.

“We are thrilled to be launching 3 Civic Plaza today as we recognize the importance of furthering the development of Surrey’s emerging City Centre,” says Sean Hodgins, president of Century Group. “Investing in the new Surrey City Centre is essential to create the conditions for success – the kind of place we can all be proud to call home.”

Residential sales for 3 Civic Plaza will begin in October of 2012 with project completion expected in fall 2015.
