Call for presentations about parking construction, design, operations and management

The International Parking Institute (IPI) has launched a call for presentations from those involved with all aspects of parking construction, design, operations and management that illustrate case studies, illuminate important issues, bring “how to” knowledge for the 2010 IPI Conference & Expo at the Mandalay Bay Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas, NV May 10-13, 2010.

A maximum of 28 presentations, each 60 minutes in length, will be scheduled. IPI encourages individuals willing to share their expertise and real world practices to submit their presentation proposal at www.parking.org by October 1, 2009. This year, for the first time, presenters may apply for continuing education system (CES) credits from the American Institute of Architects (AIA). Proposals will be evaluated based on several factors including:  overall quality of abstract; well-defined focus; timeliness and relevance of topic; practical application of material; presentation skills of the proposed speaker and applicability of topic to a national audience.

Those selected to make presentations, with the exception of Certified Administrator of Public Parking (CAPP) Candidates, will receive a 25 per cent discount on full conference or daily registration fees.  Presenters do not receive speaking fees or reimbursement for expenses.
