CANASA appoints new executive director
The Canadian Security Association (CANASA) has appointed Jean-Francois Champagne as its new Executive Director. “We are very pleased to have Jean-Francois join our team. I know that he will be a highly effective leader for our industry and that our members join me in welcoming Jean-Francois to CANASA,” said Frank Pietrobono, president of the Board of Directors of CANASA.
Prior to joining CANASA, Champagne has been part of the electronic security industry for more than 15 years, most of which were working for security product manufacturers. He began his career working for Digital Security Controls, in various technical and sales roles including Regional Sales Manager and National Account Manager, providing numerous technical and sales presentations on products and technologies.
In 2004, he became the Director of Education for CANASA, responsible for the development and marketing of training programs for the industry. In 2006, he held the position of Acting Executive Director of the association before returning to the manufacturing side of the business. Most recently he held the position of Canadian Sales Manager for Brivo Systems, a manufacturer of web hosted access control.
