Entries now being accepted for parking facility architectural design awards competition

Entries are now being accepted for the International Parking Institute’s 29th Annual Awards of Excellence Competition recognizing outstanding achievement in parking facility design and architecture. The competition is regarded as the highest award in the parking profession.

Past winners have included notable parking garages in cities, retail complexes, corporate headquarters, airports, commercial buildings, public institutions, universities, sports complexes, among others. The awards are open to public agencies, jurisdictions, institutions, organizations or corporations which own parking facilities completed or renovated since January 1, 2008. 

The competition offers five categories, with a top winner, award of merit and honorable mention possible, in each:
I. Best design of a parking facility with fewer than 800 spaces;
II. Best design of a parking facility with 800 or more spaces;
III. Innovation in a parking operation or program;
IV. Best parking facility rehabilitation or restoration; and
V. Award of Architectural Achievement
