B+H acquires Six Degrees (August 01, 2007)
TORONTO – Bregman + Hamann Architects (B+H) of Toronto have announced the acquisition of Six Degrees Architecture and Design, also from Toronto.
“Six Degrees is a perfect fit with B+H” Bill Nankivell, CEO of B+H, said of the merger. “Over the past 16 years, Six Degrees has established a strong and loyal client base, and won numerous international awards by providing Canadian and overseas organizations with design ingenuity and dedication to client service beyond expectations.”
Six Degrees was created in 1991 under the name of Ruys de Perez Architect by Lisa Bate, past president of the Ontario Association of Architects and Fellow of the Royal Architectural Institute of Canada.
“While we were offered several opportunities to merge our team with other firms, B+H made the best sense. A common commitment equally to architecture, planning and interior design both locally and globally is what attracted us to B+H,” Bate said. The move will see Bate, a strategic leader in both architecture and interior design, become a Partner within B+H.
B+H Architects is an architecture, interior design and planning firm with offices in Vancouver, Shanghai and the United Arab Emirates. The combined firm’s clients include leading commercial, retail, institutional, healthcare, hospitality, and residential clients.
