Fusion Homes announced the closure of the acquisition of the Guelph Innovation District (GID). GID is a 325+ acre site bordered by Stone Road East, Victoria Road South and Clythe Creek, connecting the growing South End and Historic Downtown Guelph Core.
While Fusion Homes works to finalize site plans and preliminary details, the project will showcase a new, transformation vision for the City and its residents. Spanning over 325 acres, the site will become a mixed-use development, bringing 6,000+ new residents, entertainment and dining experiences.
“I am incredibly excited and proud of the Fusion Homes team for our work to acquire the Guelph Innovation District,” says Lee Piccoli, Fusion Homes CEO & Founder. “This development will be transformational for the city, truly defying expectations of what community-building in Guelph can and will look like.”
GID will address key factors such as sustainability, the support of local businesses, walkability, technology, and best-in-class-jobs. Looking forward, GID will also address the issue of much-needed housing supply here in the city.
More details and finalized site plans will be revealed in the coming months. For more information on Fusion Homes, visit fusionhomes.com.
