Harbour Equity Capital Corp., a private equity company formed by Alan Winer, Paul Schachter and Ari Silverberg to provide equity capital to real estate developers, has announced the successful launch and first close of the $35-million Harbour Equity Joint Venture Development Fund, which is intended to provide equity capital to experienced mid-size developers across Canada by way of joint venture for new developments and redevelopments where value-add opportunities exist. The Fund is targeting a broad range of commercial and residential asset classes, including for-sale residential, apartment buildings, seniors housing, student housing, retail, office, industrial and self-storage developments.
The Fund will enter into joint venture arrangements with project developers who have a demonstrated track record of success, with specific experience in the relevant asset class and geographic market for which they are seeking financing.
As part of the capital raise, Harbour Equity engaged Trimaven Capital Advisors as exclusive Financial Advisor to the Fund.
