Marsh, a global insurance broker and risk advisor, has appointed Gerry Russ to Managing Director and Construction and Design Practice Leader for Canada.
Mr. Russ brings more than 30 years of surety and construction risk management experience to Marsh. He joins from Aon, where he was Canada practice leader for construction and surety, working with clients in all sectors of the construction industry. Prior to Aon, Mr. Russ held a number of positions at Sedgwick Tomenson and other carriers. He will be based in Marsh’s Toronto office and will report to Ken Arthurs, Central Canada Zone Leader, Marsh Canada Limited.
“Gerry is a nationally recognized expert on construction who has advised many of the largest construction firms in Canada,” said Mr. Arthurs. “His intimate knowledge of construction industry concerns, including surety, public-private partnerships, and owner/contractor controlled programs adds tremendous depth to Marsh in an industry where we see significant opportunity.”
