QuadReal Property Group to Redevelop Cloverdale Mall in Etobicoke
A major redevelopment plan by QuadReal Property Group is coming to Etobicoke’s Cloverdale Mall. The site is set to transform into a mixed-use community with residential housing typologies and tenures.

Located at 250 The East Mall, Cloverdale mall first opened in the 1950s as an open-air shopping centre with walkways, a community hall, bowling alleys and a nursery.
QuadReal plans to replace the mall with a village-like retail experience that provides a weather protected central square for community events while creating a neighbourhood retail main street experience.

Cloverdale Mall’s renewal will include sustainable community design resilience from stormwater management, urban heat island mitigation, to on site food production and urban farming.
QuadReal proposes to incorporate a multi-generational community building, an active park space and programming to encourage local, independent, and healthy food.
The team also strives to provide streets, squares and trails that connects to the existing neighbourhood, a new community amenity at Cloverdale’s front door, as well as an Arts & Culture programming, which will be complementary to the new Etobicoke Civic Centre.
