Sequel Hospitality Investments launches new residential product aimed at opening up Lake Muskoka market
Sequel Hospitality Investments has released phases two and three of its Touchstone on Lake Muskoka, that includes 66 villas and lofts. The new development encompasses the Boathouse Villas and Lofts, Beach House Villas and the Tree Top Penthouse Villas ranging in size from 400 to 2,200 square feet. The resort condos start from $229,000 with a rental program available for use by resort guests.
“Access to the esteemed Lake Muskoka address is becoming limited by price and availability,” notes Robert McLaughlin, president and COO of Sequel Hospitality Investments. “Being a Muskoka-based development company, we envisioned an offering that meets the needs of a changing market – one that is seeking the boutique, privacy-driven tradition of lakefront Muskoka cottage life, but with a modern-day twist in the ways of price, services and lifestyle amenities.”
Sequel says because the land that is now Touchstone had millions of dollars of existing infrastructure in place, they had a unique opportunity. “Resort real estate in the area is often forced to be dense to cover land costs,” notes Anne Lacarde, president and CEO of Sequel Hotels & Resorts. “Cottage life is a lifestyle that just doesn’t work if it’s not boutique. We are fortunate to pass on both the lifestyle and savings to new condo owners, given the low price of purchase on the land without compromising.”
Touchstone occupies 23 acres along the shores of Lake Muskoka between Bracebridge and Port Carling, 90 minutes north of Toronto, and is designed by Ava Janikowski Architect Inc. with interiors by Moncur and Associates.
