Stantec selected by Seaspan for NSPS infrastructure design

Stantec has been selected as the design consultants for the facility and infrastructure upgrades at Seaspan’s Vancouver Shipyards. The development will support Seaspan’s Non-Combat program as part of the Federal Government’s National Shipbuilding Procurement Strategy (NSPS).

Stantec will provide integrated engineering and architectural services for the yard’s required infrastructure upgrades. Planning and design will begin immediately, with construction to start later this year.

“We are proud to have been selected to work with one of the leading shipbuilders in Canada, and to have the opportunity to participate in the Federal Government’s National Shipbuilding Procurement Strategy,” says Bob Wood, Stantec Vice President of Industrial Buildings and Facilities. “We see this as Stantec’s continued commitment to grow our business in B.C. by working directly with Seaspan on this exciting opportunity.”
